An Email Reminder Tool Worth Checking Out
by Piotr Rauchfleisch
Often times I receive emails that I will not need for another couple days or even weeks. These emails usually become buried in the long list, and eventually one of two things happens, One – I have to hunt through my inbox and folders to find it again, or Two – I forget all about it until I receive a reminder from a colleague or a question from the client.
Last week however I found a rather handy solution to deal with this issue called FollowUpThen.com
The brilliance behind this free service is that you simply forward the email to FollowUpThen.com and just change the email address depending on when you want to have it emailed to you again. For example, if you come across interesting or important article that you won’t need until the next client meeting, you can forward it to 2weeks@followupthen.com. You will receive that email in two weeks time.
What this also allows is for a reminder email to be sent to you and the person who sent the email about an upcoming event which you had discussed and decided to follow up on a month or two later. I usually don`t put things like that into my calendar which means they can slip by. However, by having the emails you had shared with your client or colleague sent back to both of you, it can help provide that all important nudge to take action.
I have been using this for a short time at this point, but I think it’s worth checking out for any entrepreneur that depends heavily on their email.
